DIY: paper snowflakes

I recently made these paper snowflakes with my students! Here are the instructions if you would like to make one yourself!
You will need two pieces of paper, scissors, glue, and paper clips.
Cut 6 strips from each paper.

You should have a total of 12 strips.
Create a "plus sign" and glue.
Place two more vertical strips of paper over the horizontal strip.
 Glue.
Turn at a 45 degree angle and start to weave. over, under, over.
Glue.

At this point, depending on the paper and glue used, you might need to paper clip the glued sections and let them dry for a few minutes.

Once dried, flip the two outside strips so that the under side is facing up.
Line up the corners and glue. Repeat on all 4 sides.
Cut 12 more stripes and repeat the whole process. So you have two stars.
After you have completed two, place one snowflake on top of the other so that one flat strip is alined with a loop.

Feed the top strips under and through the loops.

 Glue.
Use paper clips again if needed.
 Cut the edges off.
 The view of the top.
 The view of the bottom.

Feel free to use different papers and lengths! The longer the strips, the easier to weave!
Have fun!

Happy Holidays, Heather
