when i graduated college with an art degree in 2003, i found myself wondering "what now?" i knew i didn't want to go to grad school for my MFA. i lived in a suburb of LA and wanted to stay local. (no commute!) after a year of odd jobs, questioning my talents, and making lots of mistakes, i interviewed for a teaching position in an afterschool program. seven years later, i'm still teaching. it's not easy, but very rewarding. i love making art with kids.
